Product Listing Layout

Hello All.

I have searched quite a bit for an answer, but....

I'm a little confused about the 'Product Listing' (the page which show all your products for a particular category).

My understanding is that templates/tpl_index_product_list.php is the layout for the whole page... the common/tpl_columnar_display.php is the layout of the products on the page (assuming grid / columnar layout is used) and the module/product_listing.php is what / how will be displayed for each product.

Am I correct in saying this?

Assuming so, is there a tutorial or some reference to what modules/product_listing.php does so I can learn more of where and how each element works?

The reason being is that I have created new fields using the method provided by *crazy_chris *at *http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57924* which works brilliantly for what it does (new field for product_info), but I wish to place some of these fields into my product listing.

Please if someone could give me some direction, I would be so grateful, been trying to get this to work for about 4 days now.

Thanks in advance...

Jay

Re: Product Listing Layout

The files present in /includes/modules/pages/index also play a role in the creation of the product-listing pages, as do the files present in /index_filters.

Re: Product Listing Layout

Thanks for the info, but since I posted this have discovered that most of it can be done with CSS and while playing around a bit I found out where about each elements is on the page.
