Remove unnecessary checkboxes and choose default settings in New Product page

• Sorry for the abundance of threads, I'm in need of a lot of help for multiple things -

Since my website is going to be used to only add 1 of each product (much like my ebay store), the majority of the options on the new product page are completely unnecessary and are just making it a huge pain for my mother. How can I simply remove the text and/or the checkboxes for the page?

Here's a list of the things I'd like to remove. I'd love a response asap but honestly don't expect one, but my mum really wants it done for tonight so that'd be great if some kind person would be willing to help me.

Things I need REMOVED / Things I need changed to a certain option by default: (if you could just point me to the right file, I'll happily edit it myself) :

• Date Available
• Manufacturer
• Product is Free
• Product is Call for Price
• Product Priced by Attributes
• Product is Virtual
• Always Free Shipping

• Change "Products Quantity Box Shows:" to "No, Do Not Show Quantity Box" by default AND then remove the text, so it makes it simpler

• Remove text for "Product Qty Minimum:" and "Product Qty Maximum:".

• Change "Product Qty Maximum:" to 1 by default, and then remove the text if possible

• "Product Qty Min/Unit Mix" <-- remove this text
• Products Model
• And finally remove the last three options: URL, Weight and Sort Order

I don't necessarily need the entire thing removed, just the text, so I'm happy to edit the php file, I just need to know which one. The main thing I require assistance for is changing the default value for some options, as shown by the '*' symbol. The '-' symbol represents text I need removed.

At the beginning of the admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php file, there is a list of parameters with the default values of each parameter (for example, quantity) within single quotes next to the => symbol. Most of them are empty and look like ''.

That's where you can put your own default values. If you want the default quantity to be one, you will change the '' to '1' and so on with other parameters you want to change.

You can make other changes as to which input text/fields you want to remove further down the file. It's not difficult as the various sections are fully commented to indicate what each of them does. However, be careful if you make changes there and keep a copy of the original file before attempting to amend it. Always make changes in a test environment first.

EDIT: how can I change it so it automatically selects NO QUANTITY BOX? It just says:

'products_qty_box_status' => PRODUCTS_QTY_BOX_STATUS,

I think that changing line 35 as below should do what you want:

'products_qty_box_status' => '0',
