Using 1.3 extensions on 1.5

Using 1.3 extensions on 1.5

Hey

I just installed my 1.5 ZenCart, and in process of customizing it. I noticed, that the extensions I would like to have (German and russian language packs, some look templates) are listed for version 1.3.x. Can I install these on my 1.5, or would it cause trouble?

I can only speak (write) about the German language pack.

I am in the process of checking if the pack (the UTF-8 version) is compatible with ZC 1.5 and, if necessary, submitting a new version.

If you are developing your site on a local server (not a live site) then you could consider to install the UTF-8 version of the pack on your development server. Please post your findings in the official **German Language Pack thread**.

Backup your development site first. If anything goes wrong you can always restore your backup.

I only have a to-be-production server @ my hoster, as I dont yet have the shop officially available. So I better wait until you are done ;)
