Can't take payments from USA?

Hi,

I've set up a store for a florist in Ireland. I'm on v 1.3.9f at the moment, but planning to upgrade in the next few days.

She said a few American customers have contacted her to order over the phone as they couldn't enter card details on the site. They don't want anything shipped to America, they just want to order flowers to be delivered to someone in Ireland.

I don't know how to recreate this seeing as I'm also based in Ireland, and I have no idea where to even start looking.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

With Mother's Day on the 18th there will probably be a good few orders coming through from the US and if they could come through the system rather than over the phone it would make things much easier for her.

What do you mean by 'can't enter card details on the site' ? When I create an account on your site (selecting United States in the country dropdown) the State field doesn't appear. I would guess that if your US customers cards are being declined, that might be the reason.

That was exactly it, thanks a mill Steve, the state field was set to false in Admin.
