installation on a home windows server?

:oops: I am a newbie to zencart. Can i install zencart on my windows server 2008 R2 and then modify the cart as needed. I really dont want to pay to have a hosting server just to creat shopping carts. at this time i really want to learn how to run the software. If there is a way to can you please explain. Thank you

Short answer, Yes. You will need to install XAMPP (thats what I used). Put your files in the c:\xampp\htdocs and go for it.
