Disable Holiday Category Until Next Year

Disable Holiday Category Until Next Year

How do I disable a holiday category until next year? I would like the products to remain in the the disabled category. I don't want to have the links from/to other enabled categories affected.

Click on the little green "Status" button on the category page in admin. It will then turn red thus disabling the category from showing up in the storefront. The button toggles between enabled and disabled. Hope that helps.
