Things I type in Japanese show up as weird characters in admin

Hi everyone, hopefully someone can help me out here.

I installed zencart, and I made some product descriptions in Japanese.

When I input it first it's fine, but after I save it and go back to edit it on zencart admin, all the characters are in some sort of weird numbers and symbols coding.

I can still see them fine on the actual website, but just not in admin.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks

1:admin- includes-language-japanese.php
2:includes-language-japanese.php

changet these chartset's value to UTF-8;
