Full page of banner ads

I want to create links to many of my customers sites. Ideally I would like to create a full page of just banner ads. Even better to have separate pages with each page another category.

I know I can create an EZ-page with graphic links, but I like the idea of tracking using the existing banner logic.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Full page of banner ads

Yes.

Create a new page. You'll need to
-- create a new folder in modules/pages called 'newpage'
-- have a header_php.php file in there that is pretty much empty. you could start with the one in gv_faq as an example
-- create a file in templates. this is going to be tpl_newpage_default.php.

when you navigate to mystore.com/index.php?main_page=newpage you should see a page at this point. It will be blank unless you have put something in the tpl file. but you shouldn't get a page not found error. obviously you may choose not to use 'newpage'

then have a look in includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_banner_box_all.php and copy the business end of the code into your tpl file. At the end of that code just add the line

echo $content;

You don't have to use banners_all . You could use any banners group and you'd just need to modify the code a bit. But that should be enough to get you started.

Thanks for the help! :clap:

Took me about an hour to get it right, but the end result is exactly what I wanted.
