file editors

what are you ppl using for an easy file editor? I made the usual beginners mistake of using the stupid windows editor when in ftp.

Actually, I use the stupid Windows editor Notepad most of the time, and Notepad++ (free) when I need to see line numbers.

oh I didn't know there was a ++notepad. I just found it on google. So you think this will work fine when editing my php files?
