how to edit sort order value in the category browsing page of admin?

By default when we want to set the sort order of a product, we go the product details page and then set the sort order.

But I want to set the sort order of a product on the categories page where all the products are listing on the admin side.

Is there any option for this or a module to solve my problem.

I'm looking for the same thing. Very time consuming having to do it in the products page.

There are two workable solutions:

1. Easy Populate V.4 by chadderuski (I believe it brings in the Products Sort Order field - check with chad on this).

2. Apsona Shop Admin system (which I recommend). Their management tools are really excellent, and you can config the sort orders in either the same way (in principle) as EasyPop - ie: using a CSV file... OR via their filtering and edit system.

We use both systems for mass-control of product data, but while I was for many years an avid fan of Easy Populate, I am now using Apsona more and more, because their systems offer a massive range of management options that make administering medium to large stores much easier.
