products only sorting by id

products only sorting by id

OK, I have searched the internet and the forum but I can't find the answer. My products are only sorting within their categories by id no matter what I set either in admin/configuration or the sort order in the product itself.

Can anyone provide any ideas?

Two suggestions that might narrow things down:

Switch temporarily back to the Classic template to see if it's a Template Monster issue.

Temporarily turn off your URL-rewriting mod and see if that fixes things.

Ive put it the classic template on and turned of the ceon url rewriting and I can still only sort categories but not products:no:

I have managed to sort this. I had installed a product filter mod from plattoon that allows the customer to sort products (incidently the mod didn't work), I deleted all the mod files and voila!
