Using Zones & UK Express (flat clone) help pls :(

Hi

I have searched but i'm going round and round in circles :(

This is what i'm trying to add

Zone rates. UK 3.95 rotw 7.95 (working fine)
Free postage any country over £200 (working fine)
UK Express Delivery (to show uk buyers only & not give option to those overseas). This is not fine & im going to throw the computer out of the window very soon :blink:

I've cloned the Flat Rate (something i've done before & it works fine) & set it up as UK Express Delivery

I've read all the posts about zones, setting up zones, zone definitions etc & followed the instructions.

UK Express works fine until i add the UK option in the Shipping Zone. The button is yellow (ive read it can be) but when i try & go through checkout this isn't an option & it goes back to zones.

I've tried turning zone shipping off but that makes no difference.

In Zone defanitions the status of UK is green & is set to UK, GB

Any other advice most gratefully received

Take a few steps back...

Before you set up shipping modules, look at the practicall, logistical aspects of your shipping.

If I am not using something "standard" like Royal Mail, or a single courier who ships everything everywhere for a small range of fees, then I sit down with a sheet of squared paper and literally TABULATE all my shipping requirements.

When I have articulated (on a piece of paper) all the variables and options I need, I then look at a module (or several modules) that will help me achieve a result.

OFTEN... it requires proper configuration of your ZONE DEFINITIONS in zencart, because without these configurations, it is sometimes impossible to get complicated shipping to "behave" properly.

So... Give us a lot more DETAILS about each of the shipping systems you need, and I am sure a solution can be offered,.

The UK Express was a last minute addition. I had the zones & the free shipping working nicely until that threw a spanner in the works!

I have a few modules installed but i dont think anything would conflict with the shipping.

This is what i need

UK standard £3.95
International standard £7.95
Free shipping over £200

Uk Express £6.95. I would like the UK Express only to show when the buyer is from the uk & not given as an option for the ROTW

Everything works until i add the Shipping Zone as uk but i cant work out what i've done wrong in setting that up.

If there is anymore info i can give please let me know

This is my 5th zen cart site & i was feeling quite confident until this stumped me lol

Forget that last reply. I've managed to fix it :D

If anyone else has the same problem;

I deleted the countries & zones & zone definitions.
Created new ones.
It all linked up fine & its now working hoorah!!
Little blip maybe.
