Templates not showing under "template selection"

I have zen cart 1.50 and I just moved my zen cart to a new host. After installing zen cart, the database and all the files, there are no templates showing under tools/template selection from the admin console. I have searched the forums and not found a solution for this issue.
I checked the template install procedure and everything is complete until the part when I am supposed to select the template from the admin console.

I also wanted to add that my cart is still showing the default texts and images as well.

The list of templates in admin is built from template_info.php files in each template's root folder. In the Classic template, for example, that file would be in includes/templates/classic.

It sounds like you may not have transferred all the template folders and files to the new host.

I just double checked and I have the template file uploaded under /includes/templates/.
The template_info.php file is within the folder as well.
I will go into how I installed and maybe this was the problem.
I installed zen cart 1.50 on the server this automatically also created a database on the server. I then modified both of the configure files in zen cart and then uploaded all the files.
When I go to the site I see the products but the main page still has all the zen cart ads, the default texts and there are none of the uploaded images.
Also the theme is still the default as stated before. When I go to the template selection page under tools there are no other templates listed other than the default classic green.
