How to put logo in my web browser?

Hi guys,

I have been looking and looking but could not find a single thing for my issue. I would like to place my logo in the web browser, right before the place where we enter the website name. Can somebody tell me how to realize this?

create your favicon

you can use an online generator

dynamic drive offers one
http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/

then:
Place a **favicon.ico **file in the root (ie: "public_html" or "httpdocs" etc) directory of your web server, using your FTP program.

Hi, many thanks for this info. I did exactly as said and created the favicon and put it under my public_html folder, but no success. Could there be anyting else I am overlooking??

Favicons can be elusive. It'll show up eventually.

Its been 4 days and mine is no where to be found

Help Please

I uploaded it to my public html root

Have cleared my browser cache
and still dont see it

Depending on your hosting, it needs to be in the root of your store, not necessarily public_html or httpdocs.

just tried with FF12
http://www.thecoinopshopinc.com/favicon.ico
and its there and also shows up in the browser at the start of the url
Type the url in directly to your browser.
That forces it to refresh its cache.

btw: I prefer a 32 x 32 favicon, like the zen-cart.com favicon.

What browser are you using?
Try a different browser
and/or type the link directly in.
