Choose shipping calculator based on supplied product criteria

Is there a way to not show a shipping method if the product is missing a criteria needed to calculate. For example, if the weight of an item is not entered, don't show weight-based shipping methods like usps or ups and only show table based. Thanks in advance for any help. Lynn.

What happens if half the Products have weight and half the Products do not have weight? :unsure:
