Always Free Shipping but with Express Option

Hey everyone,

I think I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I've played around with all of the shipping modules and I'm having no luck.

Basically I want customers to always be offered free shipping regardless of price, weight, item etc. But I also want to always offer a choice of express shipping priced at £9.99 regardlress of price, weight, item etc.

There must be simple combination of modules to use that I'm missing but if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated! Also I'm not sure if it matters but I'm using Fast and Easy Checkout.

Yes it's just Free Shipping which will take up to 5 working days OR they can pay a flat rate £9.99 and have it shipped via courier in 1-2 working days

I was using FREE SHIPPING! and that was working fine. Now I'm trying to add the optional express shipping I added the normal flat rate module.

You can customize the code for Flat Rate flat by changing the code to include the code in RED:

      // disable only when entire cart is free shipping

Now it will show even though the Always Free Shipping is enabled on the Products ...

Both the Free Shipping and the Express Shipping options show as you go through checkout, however if I choose the Express Shipping option and click continue the £9.99 cost isn't added to the total?

I am not following how your custom checkout is working and really cannot say what is broken ...

Ok, I'll list every setting I can find to do with shipping to see if it's something simple I'm missing!

In Shipping/Packaging - Order Free Shipping 0 Weight Status - Set to Yes (Although setting it to 0 doesn't seem to change anything)

On Products - Always Free Shipping - Set to Yes
- Weight: 1

Shipping Modules - Flatexpress (Flat module cloned with code from your previous post) - Cost: £9.99
- FREE SHIPPING! - Cost: £0.00

Order Total Modules - Shipping - Allow Free Shipping - Set to False

Not sure if thats of any help to the problem but I very much appreciate your help!

What is the custom code that you added to:

did you comment out the test for the free shipping test?

Do you have a switch or something to turn off your custom checkout to see if a normal checkout works properly?

All sorted. It was the Fast and Easy Checkout that breaking the order total, I've removed that and now it works great!
