Admin returns to page 1 after modifying a product

Hi

Why does Zen Cart's admin return to the first page after modifying a product?
If I modify a product on page 170, and click confirm, it take me back to page 1 of that category...

This is very inconvenient, how can I disable this?
After modifying a product in a category on page 170, for example, after clicking confirm, I want to be returned to page 170 again.

All help is appreciated

Thanks
S

Re: Admin returns to page 1 after modifying a product

This is not the solution you are looking for but could be a viable workaround...

Instead of clicking on the product to edit it, right click the (e) and open in a new window, when you have saved it, close that window, the original page with the list on whatever page you left it is still there. Just go on to the next item.

HTH in the meantime.

So far I have not repeated this issue ... is this a Clean v1.3.9h or an Upgrade?

Any add ons?

Does the same issue happen if you edit a Product on Page 3 that happens on Page 170?

When did this problem start? Have you always been using V1.3.9h or was this an upgrade? This was a relatively common problem a year or so ago that resulted from incorrectly applying one of the security patches .. If memory serves me correctly, the 'offending file' was /admin/includes/functions/html_output.php

Not sure if this is related to your problem or not.

Cheers

Re: Admin returns to page 1 after modifying a product

I installed a fresh version of 1.3.9h in August last year and added the crista grey template.
The problem seemed to have been occurring since the install but I only really noticed it recently since it
I now have categories with many pages.
The problem occurs on all pages.

I have probably over 20 add ons.

I have hired a developer to fix this and will report back on what the cause was.

Thanks for the replies

Re: Admin returns to page 1 after modifying a product

So sorry guys!!!
This does not happen when I modify a product, only when one is moved.. I got the two mixed up.
After MOVING a product in a category, I am directed to the category I just moved the product to.. When I would rather stay on the page I was just on before moving the product.

Sorry about that...

The Move follows the Product ...

You would have to do quite a bit of customization to change how that works ...

Yeah, the developer even refused to do it as it would takes too much customization.
I suppose it's not a train smash.

Thanks for the responses.
