Residential vs. Commercial

I have a client that would like to have a radio button selection to have a customer choose "Residential" or "Commercial" for the shipping address as the shipping rates differ based on that.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

You can "LABEL" a shipping module's DEFINES to literally any text you want, so yes... having a "Residential" and a "Commercial" option is indeed possible.

THEN, you have to determine WHAT SHIPPING MODULE(S) you will use to do the necessary CALCULATIONS.

All shipping modules have a LANGUAGE FILE and a MODULE FILE.

The LANGUAGE FILE will contain the DEFINES, which you can edit to show your desired LABELS.

Now, you will probably want TWO IDENTICAL MODULES, but where EACH MODULE calculates the appropriate rate, based on whether the customer chooses a RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS of a COMMERCIAL ADDRESS.

So you will need to create a CLONE (or CLONES) of the module you want to use.
