Site Offline

I am getting ready to install Zen Cart and take some time to learn and get acquainted with the cart. For that reason, I would like to put the cart offline or in maintenance immediately after installing and keep it like that while I work on it.

Could you tell me how to put the cart offline/maintenance immediately after installation? Thank you.

There is a DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE setting under CONFIGURATION menu. You can then insert your IP address in the appropriate field, allowing only you to see the full site.

Bear in mind that testing some shipping and payment modules is not possible when a site is in maintenance mode.
