how to get mail when creating account at localhost?

when creating account at localhost,the error info jump out.
I want receive mail which has account info in it, how to set the Email Transport?
Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function. Please check Admin->Configuration->Email Options->Email Transport.

You'll need to set up your localhost server to be able to send emails

What server are you using?
