changing up the invoice numbers

is there a way to change the invoice or order numbers? What I am looking to do is not have them be in sequential order to avoid someone from figuring out the number of sales?

Not sure if that makes sense, but basically I don't want the orders to come off as 1, 2, 3, 4 etc...

You can (as you may have discovered), change the number to a HIGHER value only. This number is auto-generated by the database, so you cannot "randomize" the sequence.
