Footer text is centered, but not centered in the footer block

My site is https://www.peterickard.com. I can't get the footer text to center in the table. I've centered the font, td & table, my stylesheet doesn't have a #footer{} section so I added this:

#footer {
text-align: center;
width: 1200px;
margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;
font-size: 9px;
line-height: 16px;
}

I'm using the lite red template by 12 leaves, I've been working on this for weeks....thanks for your help!

Find this:

includes/templates/lite_red/css/stylesheet.css

Locate this:

.legalCopyright {
float: left;
font: 11px/16px arial !important;
}

delete or comment out the float: left;

Thank you Soooooo Much! It looks great!

Your most welcome and ty for posting back the solution worked for you ...
