I mean that you should search the Plugins section (link above) for social to find Zencart mods which will help you add links to the social networking sites.

Also, instead of having social media links in a sidebox, any number of recent templates especially from Picaflor Azul have social media in the enhanced footer menu. Such as on my sister's site here (see footer area):

Above template is Picaflor's new free Abbignton Mega Menu template.

You could get one of Picaflor's templates and grab the footer menu with social icons...may be easier said than done....
