Custom payment module needed for my local bank

Hi all,

I would like to create a custom credit cart payment processing module.
I have already designed a site, and just require payment module but I have been really unlucky trying to find a solution to that, because of restrictions in my country and restrictions on the product that I am selling ( I sell cigars). Fortunately I have a local bank that has agreed to process the payment for me and I need a module for that. The local bank does online CC processing.

So I suppose that I would be better off hiring a developer to do this as I am just a designer and have no knowledge in programming. Anyone has an idea how much this might cost? and any suggestions as to whom I may contact for the job?

Also what information should I ask the bank to provide me with?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

First thing to do is ask the bank what gateway their processing uses. There may already be a module you can use.

What country and who do you need to process with? I have a payment integration with ZenCart that is currently being used with a Cigar company... He was going through the same problems you are having...

I am located in Mauritius and am using the Mauritius Commercial Bank.

Many banks do not have facilities to process card payments directly from internet sites, and so they work with GateWay partners.
