Actually, ballyc27 has changed something in the code to display the products and not mixed the Categories and Products ...

I am just not sure what he did with the code to make the Products show in each Category as you navigate through the site, nor whether the method is efficient or not to do so ... or just the result of a poorly configure server for MySQL settings that are resulting in the slow queries ...

Thanks guys,
I have lots to investigate from all the feedback.
To give some background...before I began any store customizations, I sent out a some surveys to a few ebook related forums. One common element of feedback, was to implement a category structure like the one I've currently got...i.e. something like the system amazon uses. So I am trying.
Perhaps it is a little too much!
Anyway, I will post back my findings.
