Admin/Tools/Send Email sends 4 copies to customers

When I send an email from admin/Tools/Send email the customer recieves 4 copies of the same email. In admin after the email is sent it says on top: Notice: Email sent to: [email protected] (4). It must be a setting somewhere but I can't find where. Does anyone know where to change this.

That's not normal behavior if you've selected a specific customer from the pulldown list.
So must be related to changes you've made in your site vs original functionality.

zencart version: 1.3.9h, it has not been upgraded
addons: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart by Numinix and CJloader
and just some payment alternatives Klarna_zencart 2.0.2 and Payson_1.4_for zencart.

Perhaps I have changed something with email setting unintendedly because I have changed the code regarding incoming emails. When I get the copy of the order confirmation sent to my email address I wanted the customers email address to show as sender, so I could easily reply to them, and not have the store address as sender as the original setting was. But now I can't figure out where I did the changes. Which files affects sending emails? Perhaps I could upload the original files again if you please could tell me which ones.

It's very possible that your "fast and easy checkout" might be causing confusion for the normal email operation, and is causing the store to find multiple records to send those emails to. I'm not an expert on that module - it's designed by and supported by someone else, on their own website. Best to contact them for help related to that addon.

Thank you for your reply, I did a new install of zencart 1.3.9h on another website and it just sends one copy so I guess it's the fast and easy checkout causing it. I'll let you know if I manage to sort out more specific what's causing the problem.

Now, I have solved the problem, just one email sent again.

I removed Fast and easy checkout (still don't know if this was the problem, but it changes the code too much so it's hard to customize the buying process with that in. So I would like to remove it anyway). Then I followed DrBytes advice " As far as identifying what code has been changed on your site, here's the most accurate process to follow: "

I downloaded WinMerge and compared which files had been changed and uploaded a new fresh install of those files. The problem was somewhere in admin. When all admin files were identical to the original files it all worked again. Just one email was sent.

Many of my customers prefer not to create an account, that's why I installed Fast and easy checkout from the beginning. But instead of uploading fast and easy checkout again, I uploaded Cowoa mod because cowoa doesn't mix with the files as much as Fast and easy checkout and it allows your customers not to create an account.
