hiding prices until logged in - I'm VERY new

Hi everyone :>

I am so new to this, it's scary, but the economy and a marriage breakdown mean that I have had to take over my own website, so please bear with me, and if you must throw something because of my stupid questions, could it be choc chip cookies???

I am about to take my webstore to wholesale only, and I need to be able to approve customers, and for prices not to show up until they have been approved and can log in.. how do I do these things?? I know it must be simple, and I have done a search, but I guess I don't know how to ask the question right, because I couldn't find something that applied to my situation.

A link to the right answer would be MUCH appreciated, as I hate to take up your time with something so simple.

Seek peace

Re: hiding prices until logged in - I'm VERY new

Hi Carol

In the **Configuration **menu, select Customer Details and then choose option 2. This will still allow search engines to spider your product pages, but the prices won't be available until after the customer logs in.

Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
Customer must be approved to shop
0= Not required
1= Must login to browse
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in
3= Showroom Only

If you want to restrict showing prices to only pre-approved wholesale customers, you can also change this setting:

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
Customer must be Authorized to shop
0= Not required
1= Must be Authorized to Browse
2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized
3= Customer May Browse and May see Prices but Must be Authorized to Buy

That way, customers will need to create an account and be authorised before they can see your prices (option 2).

Hope this helps.

Cheers
