Authorize.net duplicate order numbers

Hello,
We are using v1.3.9 with Authorize.net(AIM). Every so often there are duplicate order numbers in Authorize.net with different sale total and products BUT in Zen Cart there is only one order - the other order is not shown.
Has anybody seen this? Ideas?
