Adding shipping weight

Hi,

Is there any way to globally add the (same) weight to all products or do I have to open each product and add the weight individually?

Thanks,

Ed

Re: Adding shipping weight

To change all weights to be the same, in the Tools ... Install SQL Patches ...

UPDATE products SET products_weight = XX.XX;

NOTE: Backup your database before making changes like this ...

Re: Adding shipping weight

Well, I tried that (after backing the database up) and I got this message:

Re: Adding shipping weight

Another way might be to set the TARE WEIGHT setting in Admin->Configure->Shipping/Packagine and make sure each product description is set to zero weight.

Ajeh's method is better because when/if the time comes that you have products with different weights it will be much easier to manage.

As for the issue with the SQL statement, I will leave it to Ajeh to answer that.

Re: Adding shipping weight

Guys, never mind. I have entered the weight manually to get it over with.

Thanks anyway.
