HELP!!! Fired Webmaster

I had to let my webmaster go. Until I get someone to fill the spot I'm on my own. I just ordered ten ton zen cart. My question is this. The zen cart site was set up on one computer with all the passwords and info there. Webmaster is now gone so I only have access to the admin area. After I get finished with the zen cart training am I going to have to rebuild the website from scratch or is there any way to "download" the settings and template that is in place?

Geoff Blake's stuff is "OK" - but not really sufficient to get your head around "webmastering". It'll be kinda helpful for managing your store, though.

In my opinion, the ZC USER MANUAL is better...

You need to get access to your HOSTING ACCOUNT (where the site sits), because you not only need a copy of the FILES, but also the DATABASE. These can ONLY be obtained once you have server access.

You will need to know how to FTP the files, and how to backup the dbase and export it.

If your hosts are worth their salt, they will help you. (Most hosts don't do this, or try to charge exhorbitant fees...) It's not a lengthy or difficult process for someone who knows what they are doing.
