what are the differences between these two payment modules?

Two separate add-ons, by two separate authors, for the same payment provider ?????

It appears the first (older) one is written by the PaymentSense people. The newer one by CEON seems to have a multitude of enhancements, and while I have not used his mods myself, they are very well supported in the forum and widely recommended.

The CEON PaymentSense Direct module is excellent, and I used it for many months until I discovered that to be PCI compliant and not get fined for non compliance I would have to complete a very long and difficult self assessment. The only way around it is to not accept cardholder data on your site and use a redirect module (redirects to paymentsense, then back to your site after the payment is authorised).

I would prefer to use the CEON module but don't fancy the fines from PaymentSense :(
