Should I display the ssl logo on my site?

From a marketing standpoint should I show the ssl logo on my site or will that turn customers away from my site?

I doubt if it will turn anyone away, but I don't think it helps any either.

I do have lower prices than wal mart & it is due to the fact that I do not charge sales tax.

I need some more feedback on this question but I am thinking about taking it off.

Where'd you get the idea that an SSL logo will turn people away? I can't see the logic to this one.

It probably doesn't offer much benefit either though, other than to advertise the company that you purchased the certificate from.

My personal opinion is that I'd not waste any time either adding or removing it.

I did some comparisons among my competition & some show it, some don't. I just removed it.
I guess it really is a moot point though because even though I am set up to accept credit cards
a large percentage of my customers use paypal.
Either way its a sale. Thanks for the input.
