Hide price in dropdown list when pricing by attribute eg: (+£7.50)

Hello,
hopefully someone can help me out!

I'm selling tickets to a visitors center. The ticket is priced by attribute. So for example if you set 'Number of Adults' to 1, £7.50 is added to the price, 2 and £15 is added, and so on.

I want only the number of people to appear in the dropdown list, not the price. For example if you want to book for five people, the dropdown shows '5 (+£37.50)'.

Is there a way to set the dropdown to show only the number of people?

Thanks very much to anyone who can help!
Michael

maybe it wasn't clear what I was talking about, here's a link to my page and a screen shot to illustrate:

I want to display only the number of people in the drop down options, not the price. does any one know how to do this or if it is even possible?

Thanks again,
Michael

Do you want this for ALL Products or just this specific Product?

Hi,
yep I'd like to hide it for all products... i think seeing the price like that will scare customers away!

thanks,
Michael

Don't your customers need to know what the price is before ordering?

I do not think I would shop somewhere without knowing the price ...

I am not trying to discourage you, but before I dig up the code changes, I am trying to determine the best solution here ...

Of course they do!
I'll be displaying the price in the listing, just not there. The way I have set up my store, it's priced by attribute. So if 2 adults want to visit it will add £15 to the price. That's fine, but what I don't want is for customers to see things like 9 adults = £67.50 or 7 babies = £35!

I'll display the price something like this:

I'm not trying to trick customers or anything, I just think those high prices popping up might put them off.

Thanks,
Michael

You can edit the file:
/includes/modules/attributes.php

and copy to your templates and overrides directory:
/includes/modules/your_template_dir/attributes.php

then, change the code to the code in RED:

                    $products_options_display_price .= $price_onetime;
// bof: remove price from attributes display
                    $products_options_display_price= '';
// bof: remove price from attributes display

                  } // approve
