Move my site to a new one

Hi there sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I searched but to not really know the right terminology for what I want to to do.

We have been using this site http://shop.blackbarnsofas.co.uk/ which is running version 1.3 for a year or so now but that site needs to be wound down and we need to switch everything to: www.upholstery-supplies.co.uk which we have installed with version 1.5

I have copied the template files over, that was easy but now I want to copy over all the other stuff like the products, from what I have read it as about the database but I have no experience with databases.

I am using cpanel and I have stuff like phpmyadmin which seems to have some import export options.

also with the differences between v1.3 and 1.5 would this work or am I better off just rebuilding the site from scratch?.

Sorry that was rather long winded any help is greatly appreciated.

Steve

Recommend you follow the upgrade tutorial
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?148-how-do-i-upgrade-my-zen-cart-site

And the phpmyadmin backup tutorial
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?144-how-can-i-do-a-site-backup-or-use-phpmyadmin-for-database-backup

Ok thanks so basicly upgrade first then upload the old database to the new one?

Yup. you got it.

Just remember to make sure you have a backup of everything first though. (This will ensure you'll never need it). :)
