Version 1.5.1 installed from scratch via zc_install

I want to manage my newsletters and subscribers in PHPLIST, with a Sidebox link "Newsletter Opt In/Out" in Zen Cart (that takes me to a user interface URL for PHPLIST), and was wondering if there were any nice website examples or threads on how others have approached this.
