Removing Product Link in Category Display and others

Aloha..
Newb here.. First time Zcarter (actually second time - first time didn't work out so well)

I need to remove the linked Product name on a category display. I need to keep the product name just remove the link to the product page. (I do not want to display or link to any individual product pages - just the rows list in the categories NOTE: I do not want the links in the cart or at checkout either so if there is a way to globally remove them that would be great)

The cart I am working on is GroceriesAhead

Note: I have installed the newport_eco template, but I do not see where that would having an effect on my difficulties in finding what I need.
I also installed easy populate.

I thought I had found it in the includes/modules/product_listing.php file:

Changed to :

That did not seem to work
any ideas where to find this change?

as a side note:
This customer is requesting all elements of pricing, images, anything other than the product name and quantity order box. All those removed in the products, e-mails, cart, etc..
No standard shipping, just a single "drop off fee"
and total color and background changes with a mobile friendly version.
I am working slowly through all the other elements, (hoping I can get all the references gone - particularly Shipping and Price).

I have removed the link from product listing to product info, but can't remember how at the moment. I'll be back.

Check if you also have that file in your templates and overrides directory ... you do not want to edit the original, but rather:
includes/modules/newport_eco/product_listing.php

it sounds like you changed the original file, but are using a templates and overrides file and edited the wrong one ...
