Error 10423 This transaction cannot be completed with PaymentAction of Authorization

Hello:

I am getting errors using PayPal on my site.

I have their merchant account from PayPal but when someone tries to selects PayPal instead of a credit credit card I get an error sent to me from PayPal. Seems to only happen when checking out with PayPal.

"Dear store owner,

An error occurred when attempting to initiate a PayPal Express Checkout
transaction. As a courtesy, only the error "number" was shown to your
customer. The details of the error are shown below.

10423
Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error
messages for details.

This transaction cannot be completed with PaymentAction of Authorization."

Zen Cart message: We were not able to process your order. Please try again,
select an alternate payment method, or contact the store owner for
assistance.

Two things how can I either fix the problem or disable the PayPal section in the checkout area?

Judging from the error message, it seems that it doesn't like the fact that you've got your EC module configured to "Authorize Only". Try changing it to "Final Sale" instead.
Alternatively, there might be something wrong with your PayPal account where PayPal Support needs to change some setting to fix your problem.

Unfortunately, PayPal's own documentation doesn't explain helpful information about error 10423, so your most effective way to get meaningful help with that specific problem would be to ask PayPal tech support, at: https://www.paypal.com/mts -- They usually respond the same day.
