Product Sort within Category - having problems changing the default sort order

I want to sort my Products in descending Price order. The discussions look pretty straightforward, and I got it working on options like "New Products", Featured Products", and "All Products", but am still having a problem when selecting a Category and seeing all of the products listed within that category.

I used Admin/Product Listing/Product Listing Default Sort Order to set the sort order to "4", but it still sorts by Product Name/Title.

Any suggestions?

I noticed that the pages that sort correctly have a "Sort By" pulldown, and this page doesn't, if that is helpful.

I used Admin/Product Listing/Product Listing Default Sort Order to set the sort order to "4"
But you only have 3 columns with price being #3
Double check your settings for
Display Product Image - should be "1"
Display Product Name - should be "2"
Display Product Price/Add to Cart - should be "3"

Then set Display Product Listing Default Sort Order to 3a - for ascending
