Discounts applying to shipping

Hello,

new here and couldn't find a related thread.

Would like to have my 'salemaker' discounts not apply to shipping as our products weigh hundreds of pounds and our shipping is set up at a flat-rate 10% and we are doing 50-70% discounts, so this could potentially cost us a great deal of money.

Tried switching over to doing a 'specials' discount and it still applied to the shipping.

shipping is set up at a flat-rate 10%
So are you stating that you do not want it to be 10% of the discounted price
But instead, 10% of the normal price?
