Disappearing products

One subcategory of products keeps disappearing. Sometimes when I reload the page they come back. This time they've been gone since yesterday. They're still there in the admin, and definitely all "green" status. This is my first 1.5 ZC. Does this happen sometimes?

Re: Disappearing products

OK, so I reuploaded the database and they reappeared, but only the first page. The catalog says there is a page 2 but when you click on "Next"... no products.

Re: Disappearing products

Sorry to be vague, but I'm not sure what to say. I have 8 categories. One category has 2 subcategories. One of these subcategories, although consistently appearing in the Categories box as it should, loses its products, either all of them or just the second page. The number of products in brackets is correct, but products do not display. The products all appear in the Admin as per normal, and all are green status.

I am using Easypopulate. If I reload the products .csv file the products reappear, but if I then reload the page they sometimes disappear again, or the second page products disappear.

At the moment the first page of products appear as normal (products 1 to10) but the second page (11 to 13) is empty.

Thanks.

The subcategory in question is Rocky Road > Individual Bars.

Re: Disappearing products

OK, I disabled item 11, reloaded the product list, and products 12 and 13 reappeared. When I disabled 12, it disappeared, same for 13. So I was left with just the one page (1-10). But re-enabling those three products did not make them reappear.

I went through the process above again, same results. Any clues there?

I have not changed any PHP.

Re: Disappearing products

Look at your description text for those 3 items
Check your error logs

Re: Disappearing products

Description text looks fine. I changed a "&" to "and" in case, but it made no difference. Anyway, it's not any particular product that's the problem because whatever number of products per page I set it to in Configuration > Maximum Values, the second page is empty.

By error logs, do you mean what's in the cache folder? There's nothing there, just three files dated from when I created the site.

And I just switched to Classic Green template, but same problem there.

BTW, thanks for your attention to this.

Re: Disappearing products

I disabled item 11, reloaded the product list, and products 12 and 13 reappeared
This indicates that there is something about these products that is breaking

The other sub cat displays fine

Re: Disappearing products

OK, thanks. It was the 11th one. I tried deleting the name, and the description, and still it kept crashing the page, then I realised it was the image.

Re: Disappearing products

I have not posted on this issue: using ver 1.5.0
My site has been customized by changing buttons and colors using the css, but the site is still based on Classic green.

I have rebuilt this sight, having an older versions 1.3.5 which was hacked. So I'm starting completely over with a clean install.

I have a new product review I would like to display, but when I approved it, all of my products disappeared from view. When I disabled the product review, my products were visible again after a refresh.

I used the same settings as I had used in my old Zen Cart, so this is a bit of a mystery.
Please, help would be appreciated.
I will be glad to post my URL if needed.
Thank you
Peggy

Note that in 1.5.1, the error logs are no longer in cache; you will need to check the "logs" directly next time when looking at a problem.
