Adding Links To What Was A Drop Down Menu

I removed all of the dropdown links from the stylesheet_mega_menu.css and now I'd like to add regular links. I tried adding:

<?php if (DEFINE_CONTACT_US_STATUS <= 1) { ?>

<li><?php echo '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_CONTACT_US, '', 'SSL') . '">' . BOX_INFORMATION_CONTACT . '</a>'; ?></li>

<?php } ?>

to my overrides folder in tpl_header.php and nothing happened. I'm not sure of all the links I'm putting up there, but I know I'll have New Products, All Products, About Us and Contact Us.

Can you please help?
