View All Products

I've been searching and searching, but haven't found any answers to my question. I have a View All Products link that brings you to the tpl_modules_products_all_listing.php page and you see all the products in the entire store. This same link appears as you navigate to different categories. What I need to have happen is if you click on the View All Products link when you are in for example Category 2 that you only see all the products listed in that category including subcategories in that particular category. Does anyone know of a simple way to do this? I know a little php, but I'm more of a designer then a programmer.

Thanks for any help/advice :)

Re: View All Products

Kobra,

That's what I was thinking, but was hoping there was something I was missing.

Thanks for the response.

Re: View All Products

There is a way to do it without custom coding:

You set up a category called "All Products" with no real products under it

Then under "configuration", "index listing", set "Show Featured Products on Main Page - Errors and Missing Products Page" = 1

Then under "cataloguge", "featured products" enter every product in your database to be a featured product.

Now when user goes to "All Products" in your category listing they see all the featured products on that tab

I have an example site with this in action but have in addtion to above done some programming to make "All Products" appear in a horizontal menu but the above works without any programming needed
