Site suddenly slow

Hello,

I'm experiencing an awful sudden slow load time in my zencart site.

The site has been running nice for years and from one day to another, our VPS was rebooted and I bumped into this situation: parse and query around 20/30. Number of queries around 1000.

Nothing relevant made on that days, apart from regular admin stuff.

Our host says is not a server problem. I've been raising the memory Cap, gradually, from 300 up to 800. As much as I raise, as much it eat that cap.

They say my VPS is hitting the max fcgi spawn process limit. They suggest raise memory or disable some plugins or addons.

I'm aware my version is quite old, but everything has been going well with it up to this sudden dead slow.

Please, any help?

A link to the site so we can see the problem for ourselves would help. Might be a routing issue between you and the server.

I had a similar problem in the past, host said it was due to database server, it was changed and everything went nice. Now they're not admitting that. I've been warned about impoverishment in this host services... but not sure if it's my problem this time. They argue I'm exceeding the fcgi limit and I have a heavy memory usage...

The pages that don't include a lot of database activity load fine. The ones that do (product listings, etc.) are slow. I got this on Chicos> Camisetas: Parse Time: 9.087 - Number of Queries: 1092 - Query Time: 8.9027908888092, which according to the tutorial below, suggests a database access issue. I think you'll need to talk to your host again.

Thanks a lot for your help. I'll do that. I've been contacting also pro-webs inc. guys, and they've told me the same. By the way, just discovered them and they've a terrific service.
