What shipping module to use with shipping drop down box

I added a drop down box for shipping which works great BUT when I go to the check out it defaults to whatever shipping module is checked, IE flat rate, table rate. If I turn them all off it says I don't ship to that area.

What shipping module do I use with the attributes?

I have searched and been trying different things all day. Please help

I added a drop down box so customers can pick how they want their purchased shipped. When you add a product to the cart and pick a shipping method, say 3 day ai,r it shows on the shopping cart screen but when you go to check out the best method (which is the ground rate) shows and it bills the cutomer the "best rate".

I tried turning off the table rate and turning on the other options but it still doe not default to the rate the cutomer picked through the drop down box.

Thanks for any help you can offer. I am so close to having this website done and I cannot figure this out.

Was this coded by you or was it a plugin?

If by you, then I suspect that there is no linkage between the dropdown and the selected method

I aaded it through the Option Controller in zen cart under the option of shipping.

That is not the method to use for shipping
