Turn on/off proprotional images - additional option

I have a question regarding proportional images (related to layout display). The setting in question can be found at: configuration> images> Image - "Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories"

What I would like to do is, when this is set to 0 (turned on), then make it ignore the category images. Basically I only want this setting to control the products images, not the category images.

Currently, this forces you if turned to 0, to use this for your products and categories together. What if you do not want category images? Then it forces the same image white-space onto the category list pages (without products).

Is this possible?

What if you do not want category images? Then it forces the same image white-space onto the category list pages (without products). A stock v1.5.1 test site does not do this. You may have some settings that are different, perhaps the "no image" image is a big one?

This issue has been resolved and answered in another thread. For those who have the same question, it is built correctly into Zen Cart, it was just under my nose. Just look at the correct settings under: admin> images and set the width and height to blank for the images you don't want stretched. There are many image specifications if you play with the numbers you can get it to look the way you want.
