Upgrading from 1.5 to 1.5.1 stalled at first hurdle
I just upgraded from 1.5 to 1.5.1 first upgrade.
Using Pickaweb.co.uk "Softaculous" (just read that automated installs are not recommended wonder why they are offered then? :dontgetit )
Anyway....
Have got stuck, despite checking a box to backup the databse and, as far as I am aware, changing permissions and deleting the install folder as instructed I am getting a "site is down for maintenance" message.
It is not my website, I set it up for a friend and now it doesn't work until I can sort it out.
:(
I am at a page that says
Admin Activity Log Manager
Review or Export Logs
INSTRUCTIONS
You can use this page to export your Zen Cart® Admin User Access Activity to a CSV file for archiving.
You should save this data for use in fraud investigations in case your site is compromised. This is a requirement for PCI Compliance
I did that three times so far!
then it says
Purge Log History
Empty Admin Activity Log table from the database
WARNING: BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR DATABASE before running this update!
The Admin Activity Log is a tracking method that records activity in the Admin.
Due to its nature it can become very large, very quickly and does need to be cleaned out from time to time.
Warnings are given at 50,000 records or 60 days, which ever happens first.
NOTE: For PCI Compliance, you are required to retain admin activity log history for 12 months.
It is best to archive your logs by choosing EXPORT TO CSV and clicking Save, above, BEFORE purging log data
So I clicked the RESET button since that is the only button there, and it does nothing.
Just leaves me on the same page with the same info.
The shop is still "down for maintenance"
I am not a computer expert, everything I am doing here seems monumentally difficult so technical answers are going to cause me huge stress.
If it is possible to keep it simple I would appreciate it.
