Stamps.com batch mode is pulling in orders manually processed and marked "shipped"...

I'm running ZenCart v150 for my dad's site, and he said that the other day he did several orders manually through the admin part of the website, and then manually changed the status to "shipped" (since Stamps.com only checks like every 2 hours or something)... but then when he DID go into Stamps.com and do a batch import, it imported the new orders AND the ones he had marked as shipped. I'm not sure how to deal with this... Anyone?

Stamps.com is a 3rd party plugin and not part of the ZenCart distribution
You are asking this in the "General Questions' area which deals with ZenCart distributed code issues
You should look to a support thread for stamps.com in the addon area

The default Stamps.com code does not download orders that were manually printed when you set the status to "Delivered" instead of "Shipped" .

Other than that, since you've changed the default code, it's hard to say.

They're still having some off and on trouble with their servers since the major outage a few weeks ago. Leave it to a programmer to make changes on a Friday.

Not sure what you mean by "changed the default code".... I'm talking about setting the status of the order to "shipped" in the zen cart admin area for orders...

Re: Stamps.com batch mode is pulling in orders manually processed and marked "shipped"...

There's no zencart status of shipped, so if you're setting a status to shipped that indicates you've make changes somewhere and need to make appropriate changes in the Stamps.com code for that too.

Stamps.com does not import orders that have been marked with the status of delivered, so any manually printed postage and manually changed status to delivered will not be imported. There is always the delay if imported in the processing status, you printed and changed status to delivered and then refreshed the batch file before Stamps.com performed the next update. It's hard to say since Stamps.com is still fiddling with the code during the day and disabling some functionality during peak times and turning the functionalities back on once things slow down. I don't have a list of the specifics of everything being disabled/enabled. One thing is that confirmation emails are being delayed 12-15 hours due to the functionality being disabled during business hours.

I must have you confused with someone else who was customizing things a while back and had to have a status of shipped between processing and delivered and was customizing the Stamps.com code to accomodate that status. Sorry if I have things confused there.

Hi WebKat,

RixStix’s comments regarding how Stamps.com imports orders from ZenCart are correct – Stamps.com will not import anything that has been marked “delivered.” If you are still having issues with the status of imported orders, please call our Customer Support Team at 1-888-434-0055 (open Mon – Fri, 6am to 6pm PST). They can help get this issue resolved for you.

Thanks!
