Category Tab Simple Dropdwn issue

I just redesigned my web site using a template and added a dropdown menu. So you hover over the menu item, then dropdown happens. This is great, but most of the time the dropdown disappears before you can make a selection. How can I fix this?

I had to go back to my old web site template because there was a problem with the account area. eeeks!
