Horizontal Scroll on Newport Eco Template, Category Pages only

I have no idea what I did as I have made no changes to padding, margins, etc from the default template, but all of a sudden on the Category Listing Page, and the Category Description Pages only I have suddenly developed a slight horizontal scroll bar that is driving me nuts....

The Category Description will run into the padding...so on one of the categories I did a test and force formatted the description to shorter lines, but it didn't change anything. I also changed the size of youtube video I had on one, but that didn't result in any change either.

I am totally stumped as to why suddenly this horizontal scroll bar has shown up and would appreciate any inputs as to what and where I should look.

Here's a couple of example pages, Top Category Level

Subcategory beneath it

But a different top category with no scroll bar.... No Scroll

I really appreciate the help.

Re: Horizontal Scroll on Newport Eco Template, Category Pages only

The top cat with no scroll bar is not displaying a category or product listing, but a single product info page (the only one in that category).

You have Tabbed Product Pro taking 3 x 32.5% plus 2 x 20px, which for all but huge widths will add up to more than 100%. This doesn't count the table cellspacing of 16px (applied at least four times); I'm not sure how tables handle this along with cell width.

I would say it's something about the settings or styling applied to the TPP listings. As I have not used that mod, I can't offer more detailed advice.

That must be something in the template as I've not changed them....maybe Pica will see this...at this point I'm not sure what/where the TPP is

Re: Horizontal Scroll on Newport Eco Template, Category Pages only

Well, I managed to fix it after spending 2 hours scouring for how to see how the table widths were set up. I went into configuration/layout settings...and made the column widths and box widths fluid rather than the fixed pixels they were set at..(185 px)...I did a 20/100 split...it took away the scroll bar, and all the other pages look fine too. I prefer a fluid set up anyway so it all worked out.

Thank you.
