Looking for paid help for upgrade

We would like to pay someone experienced to upgrade our Zen-Cart from version 1.2.6 to the latest one. We would like to keep all current customizations.

The reason is that we wish to migrate our website (armorheadsets.com) to HostGator. They use MySQL 5.1 and our current Zen-Cart database is not compatible. We were told that we need to upgrade in order to make it compatible.

Please reply with a quote as your best offer. We need this completed by the end of this week.

How many customizations do you have, and what are they? It may or may not be possible to transfer all of them to v1.5.1, at least not without translating to new systems. If your site is that old, the template will need to be completely rebuilt as the template base files all changed around v1.3.0. This is probably a good time for a makeover to bring the style up to date. I doubt you can find anyone to do a complete job, with quality work, by the end of the week, unless you have a really big budget. If you need to act right now, I would advise upgrading without trying to migrate your template customizations. Of course you will need to migrate customized language files. Install a free template that resembles the layout you want from Plugins (you can see them in action at (sorry, site offline) ), and import the custom language files into that. Then you will have a secure, functioning store while you get the template of your dreams built.

By the way, the forum is not supposed to be used as a place to advertise for work, from either end. I suggest you contact some of the professionals who frequent the forum for quotes by PM (private message).

To do this "quickly" may be possible... it depends how much of the original data and structure you are prepared to "sacrifice".

If you are prepared to forego customer data and past orders - but keep the product data, then the easiest would be to EXPORT the product data using EASY POPULATE. I think ver 1.2.5.4 will work on such an early version of ZC.

Then do a fresh install of ZC.1.5.1, and install chadderuski's EP v4.0 module.

Then import the product data off the dumped EP file from the earlier version.

To be honest... I see nothing special about your existing "customisations", and you should just focus on getting a working store operational again... something that enables people to just place orders.

Then... spend time looking at modern add-ons and enhancements.
